Hey everyone!
Just last week Adele came to Seattle for the concert, staying for two days. Her previous stop was Vancouver, which is only a few hours drive away. BUT unfortunately, I was NOT able to get tickets! I am still pretty bummed about that. To see her perform live would be EVERYTHING! Seriously, if you have seen her live (or have even been lucky enough to have met her), can we just switch brains or something?
Although she is my ultimate music obsession, there are other artists out there that I love as well. Such as Elle King, whom I should mention is finally getting the recognition she deserves. So proud of her. I’ve been a fan even before she got well known. Also, I adore The Pretty Reckless. I’ve mentioned them before as well. I remember that I was asked before to create another Music Obsessions post to elaborate on them, but I haven’t done so yet because they are currently working on new material so I decided to hold off on that post for a while longer.
In an entirely different genre, that being country, I also enjoy Carrie Underwood’s music as well. Also Shania Twain. I grew up listening to whatever music that played on the radio stations my mom tuned into. Those two artists are ones I’ve listened to since I was little, with their classic hits being some of my childhood favorites. If I were to ever get the chance to see them live in concert, that would be such a great memorable experience.
So let’s say I were to attend a country concert, what would I wear? I like to fantasize possible outfits I could wear to events that I would like to attend. Do you ever do that?
I centered this outfit inspiration around the cropped denim vest. From my entire wardrobe, that was one of the pieces that screamed country to me the most. I don’t own any fringe tops or suede jackets, nor do I have anything in plaid. This cropped denim vest, in a light wash, caught my eye because it was something that is not what’s initially thought of for a country outfit, yet still conveys that same feel.
I paired it with an off-white asymmetrically ruffled top, black short shorts with a subtle low-contrast polka-dot pattern, and light brown booties. Okay, guess I lied. I do own something with fringe, as these booties have fringed tassels at the sides. The overall color combination gave that country feel to it that would be perfect for a country concert.
To complete the look, I added a long metal feather necklace with a couple turquoise accent rocks, and pulled my hair into a loose textured side braid.
I initially wanted to go for this blue circle skirt I had that would look perfect with the denim vest and brown booties. But, I remembered how concerts usually are like, and had I chosen the skirt, it wouldn’t ring true if I were to really attend a country concert. It just isn’t the most logical option to go with. However, I still think that the overall look conveys my style with a country twist.
What would be even more ideal for this outfit would be a pair of cowgirl boots. Those would definitely add the necessary southern flair to complete the look. A company I recently came to know of called King Ranch Saddle Shop has a great selection of clothes and accessories to satisfy our inner cowgirl or cowboy needs.
Taupe Boots |
I would totally LOVE to have these boots! The beautiful taupe color makes them so versatile and trendy. Easy to style with many outfits. The simple design at the sides makes them not too overwhelmingly country, but just enough to add that bit of southern flair. These would look so awesome with this outfit.
I can definitely see myself wearing the bottom left pair of cowgirl boots. The rich, warm brown would go so nicely with many outfits. If I had them I would wear them with some black shorts, a black crop top, maybe a denim jacket. Oh gosh now I want to wear that. How would you style cowgirl boots?
If you just walked into your typical shoe store, you wouldn’t be able to find as nice or authentic pair of cowgirl boots as you would find on the King Ranch website. They have cowgirl and cowboy boots to choose from! It doesn’t even have to be for a concert or other occasion. You could literally just wear them on any random day. They are suitable for any occasion. Just don’t go wearing a pair of the boots along with a plaid shirt and cowboy hat or else you will be asked where the hoedown is.
I definitely recommend heading over to the King Ranch Saddle Shop website if you find yourself wanting to get something with a country feel. Who knows when you might need a killer pair of cowboy boots? One must always be prepared for any occasion that may occur. Such as the desire to just want to rock a pair of their boots on a random occasion.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my long ramble of a post! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Til next time,
