Hey everyone!
Because it is summertime, vacation is on my mind. I visit your lovely blogs, and I read the posts where you talk of the wonderful places you’ve traveled to. I see vacation destination ads everywhere I look. It’s hard to not think about traveling this time of year.
One of my friends is going to Vegas this summer. I am kind of jealous of her because I would love to go there again. I’ve been there before when I was way younger, but it would definitely be more fun now that I’m older. I mean I still need a couple more years before I can go clubbing or go to a casino… but there’s definitely more things to enjoy now.
I searched long and far online and found some great deals over at vegas.com. They offer lots of great packages to choose from if you ever find yourself wanting to go to Vegas right at the moment. While searching online, I came across such beautiful resorts and hotels I would love to stay at.
Bellagio is so gorgeous. The way the lights flicker and cast dancing shadows on the walls is so alluring. The whole place looks so enchanting. I can definitely imagine myself lounging in the spa there relaxing.
Or perhaps Luxor. I’ve actually stayed there before when I went there long ago. It’s so beautiful, definitely an image of paradise.
I went there before as well. I didn’t stay there though. But it’s such a beautiful place with their bright colors.
If I were to go to Vegas and spend some time having wild, crazy fun, I definitely want to wear something that would suit my choice of activities.
Get your head out of the gutter.
I’m not talking about sex. I know that’s what Vegas is known for, Sin City… “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” and all that jazz. But there’s also loads more to see and do. Not just people.
Though I may not be heading to Vegas anytime in the near future, I still like to don some outfits and pretend. Use my imagination. Exercise that well-trained skill carried over from my childhood. A little bit of harmless imagination and inspiration never hurts anyone. At least that’s what I learned from my good ol’ friend Spongebob.
While sorting through my clothes in search for some inspiration, I knew I had to include this pastel pink jacket. This was just a piece that had to be included somehow. With that, I shaped my outfits around the jacket.
I chose to wear this black romper which I got from New Chic, if you recall from a
post a while back. I paired it with the same belt I wore with the black dress from Banggood. Yes. I repeat clothes. You all do that too. Don’t kid yourself. We don’t have endless amounts of clothes in our wardrobes no matter how much we wish we did. But, it’s the way we can pair them in different ways that makes them feel renewed.
I chose to wear the statement jacket with a black romper to keep it classy. Wearing bright pink like that can come off looking like Barbie or Elle Woods from Legally Blonde if not carefully considered. The jacket has a slight retro vibe to it, reminding me of the 80’s or 90’s with the style and color. But I tried to keep it more modern by pairing it with this halter romper. The halter style is trendy right now, and flattering as well. I chose to wear brown sandals because if I really were in Vegas, I would be walking around a lot. I definitely would need some good FLAT shoes that I could walk in.
As you can tell, I really wanted to keep the jacket as the focus. So I decided to transition the outfit from day to night by switching to a dress.
Vegas is all about wild, bright, confidence. At least that’s what I get from it. I chose this silver bodycon dress with black mesh triangles to go with it. The black and silver doesn’t detract too much from the pink jacket, but it can stand alone without looking boring.
Again, I chose to wear flat shoes because from previous experience, I know that I am one to walk around a lot when on vacation. Though there’s the option to take a bus or taxi or Uber, I would much rather walk. Walk off all that food I devour when on vacation. Walk off the calories …so I could eat more, guilt-free.
I feel like this is one of the first times I’ve worn a bright lip color in an outfit picture. It just so happens that every time I take an outfit picture, I’m not wearing a lip color. Anyways, this one here I’m wearing is Colourpop Lippie Stix in the color Bichette. I’ve talked about all its wonderful qualities in a
previous post before. I personally think that the name is rather catchy and fitting for me. But maybe that’s just me and my weird sense of humor.
If I were to be in Vegas right now, I would totally love to go see The Art of Richard MacDonald Presented by Cirque Du Soleil, or perhaps the Hollywood Cars Museum. I wouldn’t turn down a visit to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory either. I’m such a chocoholic. Either way, these outfits would be perfect for a trip to Vegas, exploring a city full of adventure and excitement.
As it’s been incredibly long since I’ve last been, I definitely did not remember those places from my past visit. I actually found those places after browsing
Vegas.com. They have tons of great deals if you ever wish to travel there. I am such a nerd at heart, and I love going to galleries and museums. I found quite a handful that I would love to go to.
I really need to stop ranting as if I’m actually going. Don’t kid yourself Andrea. You don’t have the time to go right now.
But dreaming is good. Healthy even. Emotionally. That’s how I go about it.
Comment down below what you would wear if you were to head to Vegas! What would you most want to do there?
I really hope you enjoyed reading! Thanks for stopping by, and I wish you all a lovely weekend!!
Til next time,
