கூகிள் நிறுவனம் தனது ஆண்ட்ராய்ட் இயங்குதளத்தில் செயல்படக்கூடிய அப்ளிகேஷன்களை, பயனர்கள் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும் வகையில் உருவாக்கிய இணையதளம் கூகிள் பிளே ஸ்டோர் (Google Play Store). 

இந்த கூகிள் பிளே ஸ்டோரில் இலவசமாக பயனுள்ள அப்ளிகேஷன்கள்  பல கிடைக்கின்றன. கட்டணம் செலுத்தி பெறக்கூடிய ஆப்களும் உண்டு.  70% இலவச அப்ளிகேஷன்களே இங்கு உள்ளன. 

அந்த வகையில் கூகிள் தற்பொழுது மாணவர்களுக்கு பயன்படும் வகையில் Education Apps களை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. இச்சேவைக்கு Google Play for Education என பெயரிட்டுள்ளது. 

இனி இந்த சேவையின் மூலம் வெளியிடப்படும் கல்வித் தொடர்பான அப்ளிகேஷன்களை இலவசமாக மாணவர்கள் பெற முடியும். ஒரு சிலவற்றை கட்டணம் செலுத்தியும் பெறலாம். 

தங்களது அலைபேசி, டேப்ளட் போன்ற ஆண்ட்ராய்ட் சாதனங்களில் (like tablet, smartphone) இந்த அப்ளிகேஷன்களை தரவிறக்கம் செய்து பயன்படுத்த முடியும். அத்தோடு அந்த அப்ளிகேஷன்களை Cloud முறையில் அவர்களுடைய நண்பர்களுக்கு பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளவும் முடியும்.
